Kingston Co-operative Homes is located in a quiet residential area near Downtown Kingston in Ontario, Canada.
We have picnic tables, benches, a games arena and a gazebo, all under large mature trees. As owners and managers of our co-operative, we the residents strive to provide a beautiful, safe, well maintained and affordable place to live.
About half of our homes offer a "geared to income" housing charge (rent) for low income members.

All of the residents of Kingston Co-operative Homes collectively own and manage the property and buildings. We have a Board of Directors who are elected by the general membership to manage and supervise the operations of the co-op. We also have several committees that provide a variety of services to the community. Our property co-ordinator manages our every day operations under the direction of the Board of Directors.

All members of the community contribute a minimum of 4 hours a month by performing outside work, working on a committee, or by accomplishing necessary tasks.
Members also attend two or three General Members' meetings a year plus our spring and fall clean-ups.
Effective participation by all members helps keep our housing charges competitively low and builds the kind of community we want.
